Cockroaches — Kitchen Pests That Spread Bacteria and Disease

Cockroaches are among the most resilient pests found in homes and commercial kitchens across Delhi NCR. The German cockroach and American cockroach are the two species most commonly encountered. They are nocturnal, hiding during the day inside modular kitchen hinges, behind refrigerators, under sinks, and inside electrical switchboards. Cockroaches contaminate food and food preparation surfaces with bacteria including Salmonella and E. coli, and their shed skins and droppings are a known trigger for asthma and allergic reactions, particularly in children. A single pair of cockroaches can produce thousands of offspring in a year, meaning even a small infestation can escalate rapidly if not treated early.
